S E V I L L E INCENTIVE & CONGRESS GUIDE A UNIQUE VENUE FOR CONVENTIONS, CONGRESSES AND INCENTIVES. Seville is the mirror of the earthly Paradise. Palm trees, intimate little squares, thousand colours, lovely streets, passion, light & sound, The Giralda is the roof, the symbol and the metaphor of Seville. It is a monument to tolerance: an example of Moorish architecture joined to an imposing building that was erected to the glory of Christendom. Seville is the city of poets, artists and painters, men who where unable to remain indifferent in the face of such provocation. Seville succoured them, embittered them, pleaded with them. The Romans and the Visigoths lived in Seville, as did the Arabs and the followers of king Ferdinand. They all left their mark. The river that washes, divides and unites the two banks of the city is an irrefutable exponent of its imperishable debt: Guadalquivir is the Arabic name of this watery arm that rises in Cazorla and mingles with the ocean, which is life, in Sanlúcar de Barrameda. The city of the sun that was erected for the Ibero-American Exhibition of 1929, the immediate predecessor of the Universal Exposition of 1992, which opened its arms to the world in the grounds of Cartuja Island as an antechamber to what Seville has to say, feel, sell and exhibit in the next-to-last breath of the twentieth century. Seville was invented by some marvellous lunatic. You are also wlcome to come and enjoy Seville´s excellent regional gastronomy. Enjoy the flavor of the south, try Seville´s popular tapas, meat, fish, shellfish and wash it down with good wine and find the corners of Seville and get to know it´s historythrough the palate. |
