JEREZ DE LA FRONTERA

Jerez has a privileged spot in Andalucia situated between the mountains of southern Spain and the Atlantic Ocean beaches of Cadiz. It has a mild climate that brings year round pleasant weather. It is a modernized ancient city with castles and cathedrals among vast vineyards and green grazing grounds. Most famous Jerez is for its world famous wines and horses. A proof of the this are its wine cellars, Jerezīs own excellent Sherry wine and the Alcázar arab fortress. Other attractive venues are for example the clocks museum & the training exercises or the show of the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art. The city also offers a great variety of old interesting architecture like for example; its big Cathedral with 3 archaelogical styles; Gothic, Baroque and Neoclassical, the old Town Hall, constructed in 1575, the Santiago Church in late 15th century Gothic style and the St. Domingo Church dating back to 1264 with outstanding features. The beautiful old fish market square with Arab walls is one of the most picturesque points of the town, where the visitor will find an abundance of restaurants and "tapas" bars. Ancient historical sites and unique newer attractions make Jerez a must place to visit.

CÁDIZ

For the visitor in search of relaxation an culture, Cadiz can offer two of the best ingredients, i.e., magnificent beaches and a past that goes back to ancient times, a past indelibly stamped with the imprint of those far-off Phoenician merchants who settled here, making it the oldest city in Western Europe. Possibly one of the most important aspect of the city’s historical heritage must be its ties with the New World, and the ensuing cross-cultural exchange and trade between the two. This has given the town a cosmopolitan dimension and the townspeople (Gaditanos), and open, hospitable and liberal personality which quickly makes the visitor lose any feeling of being a stranger.

THE JEREZ WINE CELLARS

Unique in all the world, the Jerez wine cellars are living museums where one can find wines which are famous throughout the world, such as those belonging to the Pedro Domecq Cellars.

COTO DE DOÑANA

This park with its protected species of flora and fauna and its unique natural spaces is considered the most important natural reserve in Europe.
